WHO SHOULD APPLY? The Chamber seeks emerging and established leaders from diverse sectors of the Greater Nashua community with a strong desire to build connections within the region so they may successfully assume leadership roles within their organization(s) and in their communities. Candidates must be willing to commit time and energy to LGN, including attending and actively participating in the opening retreat, each monthly class, and any required additional preparation time outside of session days.
WHAT IS THE CLASS COMPOSITION? Our ideal class size is 20-25 members and we look for a good mix of individuals from non-profit, education, the arts, business, government, community groups, etc. and make selections based upon individual qualifications, balanced with a desire to create a diverse and stimulating class, made up of people with a commitment to the communities of Greater Nashua.
WHAT DOES THE TIME COMMITMENT LOOK LIKE? LGN takes place on nine business days, during business hours, from October through June; graduation will be held on a weekday evening in June. A mandatory retreat is held in September. There is also required reading and other out-of-session program assignments.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT TO GAIN FROM THE PROGRAM? New friends! New professional connections! A wealth of knowledge! And newfound or expanded love for the Greater Nashua region!
Each session day is focused on a different topic as it relates to Greater Nashua (for instance: healthcare, education, arts & culture, etc.). For each day, we will put together a stimulating agenda featuring local leaders related to the topic for that month – both individual speakers and panels of thought-leaders. Along with speakers, we’ll set up tours, discussions to help you explore diverse ideas and challenge personal assumptions, provide reading materials, pre-work assignments, and more. Through all of these avenues throughout the program you’ll get a chance to look behind the scenes at our local businesses and organizations and delve deeply into a variety of topics. You will leave each day inspired and with more knowledge and opportunities for engagement and impact.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Tuition for LGN is $1,250 for Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce members and $1,550 for non-members.
