Out of the 60+ Chambers of Commerce across New Hampshire, our Chamber has by far the highest profile and most consistent presence in Concord on behalf of businesses and their legislative interests across New Hampshire.
That’s why, in 2014, we chose to commission an independent study through The UNH Survey Center, focusing on four major issues impacting all of NH’s businesses: passenger rail, the Northern Pass, expanded gaming, and a potential gas tax increase.
This independent, statewide survey was fielded in February and targeted over 500 registered voters. It has a +/- 4.3% margin of error.
The survey found increasing support for the Northern Pass, strong support for passenger rail (even with taxpayer costs included), support for expanded gaming, and mixed results on a potential gas tax increase. A full executive summary of the survey is included here: 2014 Public Opinion Survey
The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce is at the forefront of each of these four issues, and we’re pleased to share these results with both our members and with opinion leaders throughout New Hampshire.
