Technical Assistance

The following is list of Frequently Asked Questions about this service.

1) Is this service completely free?

Yes, this service is provided to you at absolutely no charge. Whether you work downtown, are just visiting, or are living here, we want you to enjoy everything our downtown has to offer. So, surf the web for Nashua happenings, check emails, or get some quick business done while sitting downtown…all on our dime.

2) How do I use the service?

Since you’re reading this, you’re already logged in. You can simply use the service as you would normally use the Internet. You can also use this service to log into your VPN or other remote desktop devices, etc.

3) Where can I use this service?

The wireless signal is available along Main Street, starting at Railroad Square at the north end, and ending around City Hall on the south end. The signal is also strong enough to be used about one or two blocks east and west of Main Street, between Railroad Square and City Hall.

4) Are there any limits on how frequently I can use the service?

We have established enough antenna points that should allow for a very large number of users to simultaneously use the wireless signal, without slowing anyone’s service. However, if we notice that individual users are using unusually high amounts of bandwidth at the expense of others, we will take steps to limit that user’s share of the bandwidth. There is also a 4-hour daily limit for usage, which applies to all users.

5) Are there any restrictions on using this service?

Aside from the information in the previous question about using too much bandwidth, please be aware that we take no responsibility for any content you decide to view or download while using the service. Each user must take responsibility for his or her own use of the service, when surfing the Internet or conducting any business.

6) Who do I call if I’m experiencing difficulties accessing the service?

The instructions for accessing the service, which are included in this brochure, are fail-safe as long as your laptop or PDA is capable of accessing a wireless signal. The Chamber of Commerce will facilitate questions, but can only provide limited end-user support during regular business hours. The Chamber can be contacted at 603.881.8333.
