About Wireless Nashua

Wireless Nashua is a joint effort between the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce and the City of Nashua to provide free wireless internet service to our downtown visitors, clients, and residents. Generous financial and technical support was provided by our three major partners – Hampshire First Bank, Fairpoint Communications, and The State of New Hampshire.

Nashua has long been known as the high tech hub of northern New England, thanks to the large number of large tech companies and small start-ups that call Greater Nashua their home. Over the past 20 years, Nashua has also held the high distinction of being named America’s Best City by Money Magazine – not once, but twice – in 1987 and 1997.

Providing free wireless internet service within our downtown allows Nashua to continue moving forward, and remain on the forefront of communities across the United States that recognize the need to continually evolve and offer new services that will attract young professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners and visitors. Wireless Nashua is intended to be an amenity that provides short-term internet access for users, rather than a full-fledged business enterprise solution. The typical user of Wireless Nashua is someone who is shopping or browsing downtown retail stores, someone who is holding a business meeting or lunch, or someone who is visiting downtown with friends or colleagues.

The signal can be expanded beyond the current service area by adding additional Meraki antennae. Businesses or organizations that are interested in expanding the service to their locations should contact the Chamber of Commerce at 603.881.8333 for information on how to do this.
