Wilton Town Profile

Directly west of Milford along the banks of the Souhegan River, resides the little town of Wilton. Wilton is a small town with 3,787 friendly people, hillside views, and affordable housing, averaging $245,000. Wilton covers a little over 25 square miles which includes a vibrant downtown that serves as a magnet for the community. Wilton Center, the original nucleus of the town, lies to the west of this business district and is also home to Andy’s Summer Playhouse, a well renowned summer theatre for children. Wilton educates its own elementary school children in grades R-6, as well as 1 middle/Junior High and 1 High School. An alternative to the public system is the Pine Hill Waldorf School for grades K-8 and High Mowing School for grades 9-12. This unique town attracts young professionals and families even with the relatively high property taxes.
