Leadership Greater Nashua - About

The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, since it creation 80 years ago, has been committed to building a strong community. As part of this mission the organization has created Leadership Greater Nashua, a program of the chamber that is committed to building social capital in the Southern New Hampshire community. Strong communities don’t happen by chance they are built and maintained by individuals who are committed and involved in their communities. In 1994, when the Chamber founded LGN, the region was emerging from a serious economic shock and was becoming more and more part of the Greater Boston sphere of influence. It was recognized that Nashua needed to grow and leaders, who cared about and understood the unique needs of this community, were the key to suceess.

All these years later, nearly 200 emerging leaders have graduated from this program. Many of them have gone on to take positions of prominence within their businesses and our community. Many serve as volunteers in local non-profits, or as directors on boards and commissions and some have gone on to lead their own organizations. LGN has proven to be a breeding ground for civic involvement and community action.

LGN is an outstanding opportunity for emerging leaders to meet key decision makers and gain a better understanding of what makes Nashua and all of Southern New Hampshire a fantastic place to live, raise a family and grow a business.
