Nashua has always been revered as a safe place in which to work, live and raise a family; but, with a recent perceived influx in crime and gang related violence, many members of the community are concerned, and are asking what is being doen to keep our City safe. This breakfast will feature 3 panelists, each with a special focus on the topic, who are able to answer this question:
Attorney General Kelly Ayotte: As NH's Attorney General, Kelly Ayotte serves as the State's chief legal officer and chief law enforcement officer. Ms. Ayotte, a Nashua resident herself, will share her perspecitve on a statewide level, and specifically touch on both Nashua's challenges ans what continues to make it a condiserdably safe city.
Chief of Police Don Conley, Nashua Police Department: As the Chief of Police for Nashua, Don will share his insight on recent crime and violence in Nashua and explain special actions being taken by Nashua PD to prevent an increase in such crime and continue to safeguard our City.
Marguerite Wageling, County Attorney: As an elected official, Marguerite Wageling is the chief law enforcement officer in the County and is responsible for the prosecution of felonies and misdemeanor appeals from all district courts. County Attorney Wageling will share with our membership what she sees on a day-to-day basis on the County level, and how Nashua compares to other towns and cities in the County.
