We form our legislative plan of action based upon the work of a volunteer group of Chamber members, who take time outside of their places of business to study issues and determine the Chamber’s best course of action on those issues. These Chamber members come from all different industries and company sizes, bound by a common interest in keeping tabs on what is happening in City Hall and in Concord and then advocating the interests of the business community in relation to those issues.
Any Chamber member is welcome to join our Advocacy Committee. Regardless of your personal political leanings or your experience in legislative affairs, you can join others on this committee who simply want to better understand political happenings on a local or state level and who want to help shape the outcome of those happenings.
How can we assist you?
No matter the size of your company or the industry in which you work, there’s an opportunity for you to take advantage of our Chamber’s advocacy work. On a weekly basis, our staff is approached by various Chamber members who ask us to get engaged in an issue on their behalf. And we’re happy to do it. We’ve successfully championed issues in Concord on behalf of entire industries, and we’ve done the same for individual companies.
If you have an issue that requires expertise or advice of a political nature, we’re here for you. You can call or email us at any time, and we will respond swiftly to first understand your issue and then help you navigate that issue to a successful resolution.
Go ahead, try us.
