Board of Directors
The Chamber’s Board of Directors is the policy-making body within the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce. The board is comprised of 26 individuals elected to 3 year terms by the membership of the Chamber. Officers of the organization are further chosen to serve 1 year terms. They must be a current Board member and are elected by their fellow board members.
Dr. Ronald J. Kraus – Board Chair
President, Bausch Articulating Papers
Ron Kraus and his wife Donna are the owners of Bausch Articulating Papers, Inc. - - the North American importer and distributor of specialty dental products manufactured in Germany. A retired Air force aviator, Ron serves as chair of the New England Colleges Foundation of Tufts University. He is Chair of the Chamber’s board of directors and a founding member and facilitator of the city’s Leadership Nashua program. Ron is a board member of the Nashua Pastoral Care Center, as well as a consultant to several non-profit organizations in the areas of strategic planning and board development. Dr. Kraus is an instructor in the Executive MBA program at Rivier College and the Executive Leadership program at Daniel Webster College. He lives in Nashua with his wife and their eight-year old twins. He has four other children and four grandchildren.
Dianne Mercier – Finance Chair/Incoming Board Chair
Senior Vice President, Ocean National Bank
Dianne Mercier is the Senior Vice President at Ocean National Bank. She is presently serving as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua. Ms. Mercier serves on the Finance Committees of the Manchester YMCA and the Manchester Boys and Girls Club and is a volunteer teacher with Junior Achievement. Dianne completed The Nashua Chamber Leadership Program in 1997 and the Manchester Chamber Leadership Program in 2000. She lives with her family in Manchester, NH.
Richard Jean – Program Committee Chair
President, Central Realty
Richard Jean owns Central Realty, a full service property management and real estate company in Nashua. With over 300 units under management Central Realty is one of the largest property management companies in the region. Mr. Jean is serving his first term as the Chamber’s Program Chair. Prior to serving as the Program Chair, Richard was active on the Program Committee as the Team Leader for Business After Hours. As the Team Leader, he was responsible for scheduling and managing the Chamber’s after hours networking events. In addition to his work on the program committee, Richard has served as an ambassador and volunteer for many Chamber programs.
Raymond P. Lambert – Strategic Planning Committee Chair
Vice President, Bank of New Hampshire
Mr. Lambert is currently Vice President of Commercial Banking at the Bank of New Hampshire. He is in his seventh term on the Chamber Board and has served as a Past Board Chair for the organization. He serves on the Board and was past President of the Junior Achievement of New Hampshire. Mr. Lambert has a long track record of community service, he has been active on a number of Chamber committees including the Membership Committee, the Program Committee, and Golf Tournament Committee. In previous service, Mr. Lambert has helped many groups in various capacities, including the United Way Day of Caring in Nashua, Nashua Rotary Club, the Nashua Exchange Club, Advisory Council of Nashua Easter Seals and served on the Board of Directors at the Greater Nashua Adult Learning Center.
Maryse Wirbal – Community Resources & Development Committee Chair
CEO, Nashua Pastoral Care Center
Maryse Wirbal is the CEO of the Nashua Pastoral Care Center, Inc. a human services non-profit that focuses on providing families and individuals housing services, basic necessities and life-altering programs promoting self-sufficiency since 1998. Maryse currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Nashua Dental Connection as immediate past president; is a member of the Nashua Rotary Club; a member of the Leadership NH Class of ’05; a member of the Continuum of Care Executive Committee; a member of United Way’s Community Assessment Committee; and volunteers regularly at her son’s school. Maryse is currently completing her first year on the Chamber Board of Directors and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Community Resources and Development Committee. Maryse is also a 1998 graduate of Leadership Greater Nashua program. Maryse and her husband are both Nashua natives, but currently reside in Merrimack with their one son. Hobbies include golf and scrapbooking.
John Patenaude – State & Local Advocacy Committee Chair
CFO and Treasurer, Nashua Corporation
John is the V. P Finance, Chief financial Officer and Treasurer of Nashua Corporation. Mr. Patenaude is currently serving as the Chamber’s State & Local Advocacy Chair. In addition to the Chamber Board of Directors, John is also a Director of the Nashua and Souhegan Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. John and his wife Suzanne reside in Hudson, New Hampshire.
Linda Piper – Membership Committee Chair
President, Career Connections
Ms. Piper is the founder & President of Career Connections Staffing Services in Nashua. She currently serves on the board of the Northern New England Association of Personnel Services where she is the Program Chair. She is also a member of the National Human Resources Association- NH where she has served on their board as Ways & Means Chair & Director of Membership. Ms Piper is also a member of the New Hampshire Staffing Association and the Greater Nashua Human Resources Association.
Alla Vatalaro – Secretary
Owner, Narcissus II Hair Design
Ms.Vatalaro owns and operates Narcissus II Hair Design in Nashua where she has served the Nashua community for over 25 years. She is past Vice President of Destination Downtown (now the Great American Downtown) and serves as Chairperson of the Downtown Nashua Summer Music Festival. She is a past Chair of the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee and has served on many committees including Tri-City, Annual Dinner, Golf Classic, and Programs. In January 2005, Alla was awarded Outstanding Chamber Volunteer for 2004 at the Chamber’s 2 nd Annual Eminence Awards. She is also a member of Leadership Greater Nashua Class of 2003.She is a member of Nashua Rotary West and serves on their Events Committee. She has served on committees for the Adult Learning Center and Home Health &Hospice.
Geri Boisvert – Manager,
Spash by MASI Bath Showroom
Mrs. Boisvert has been the Manager of Splash by MASI Bathroom Showroom since its opening in January of 1996 and is now Vice President of the showrooms in both Nashua and Manchester. She is currently completing her fourth year on the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and has completed her two years serving as the organization’s Program Chair. A former High School Biology teacher Mrs. Boisvert has been active as the Program Committee for six years and has served on the Annual Dinner Committee for five years. During her previous involvement with the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce she served on that organization's Board of Directors and was the Program Vice-President. A 1998 graduate of Leadership Greater Nashua she resides in Merrimack with her husband, Bob. She has three grown children.
Newton Coreyll
Fleet Manager, Law Family Companies
Mr. Coreyll joined the Chamber Board of Directors in the Spring of 2002 after serving as a long time volunteer. An employee of Law Motor Freight, Inc. for 34 years, the last 32 as the company’s fleet manager Coreyll has served on a number of Chamber committees and been active in many initiatives. In the spring of 2004, Mr. Coreyll received the 2003 Eminence Award as the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce’s Outstanding Volunteer of the Year. Currently the Chair of the Ambassador’s Committee, Newt is responsible for leading the Chamber’s efforts to welcome new members into the Chamber experience. He is a member of the Merrimack Sno-Buds Snowmobile Club and has recently served as the organizations president. Locally, he has been appointed to the Horse Hill Nature Preserve Ad Hoc Committee.
Peter B. Davis
President/CEO St. Joseph Hospital
Mr. Davis is the President/CEO of St. Joseph Hospital. In addition to serving as a Past Board Chair for the Chamber, he has a long history of service to the healthcare community, which has given him the opportunity to lead many organizations, including being a Past Chairman of the Board of the New Hampshire Hospital Association, serving as Chairman of the Board for the New England Healthcare Assembly, working on the United Way Campaign Committee, and being a Past Board Chairman. He has also served on the Youville Hospital Board of Directors, been a Youth Basketball Program Director, and was appointed Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Davis has also been recognized for his achievements for the betterment of others through the New Hampshire Hospital Association Leslie Smith President’s Award and the Max Silber Award.
Paul Doherty
Site Leader, Hampshire Chemical
Mr. Doherty is the Site Leader of Hampshire Chemicals' Nashua Facility. He is the former Chamber Board Chair. In addition to being active as a Chamber Board Member, he is on the Board of Directors of the Greater Nashua United Way and Souhegan Valley Chapter’s of the American Red Cross. He is also involved with the New Hampshire Business and Industry Association Environmental Affairs Committee. For relaxation, he coaches youth basketball, baseball and softball.
Joe Foster
Director, McLane Law Firm
Mr. Foster is a director with the state-wide law firm of McLane Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association and practices out of its Nashua Office. Mr. Foster focuses his practice on Chapter 11 bankruptcy business reorganizations and commercial law. Mr. Foster represents lenders ranging from small financial institutions to nationally recognized banks and finance companies. Mr. Foster also assists financially troubled businesses and individuals in loan restructurings and workouts with lenders. He has spoken before members of the New Hampshire Bar, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the business community on bankruptcy law and related issues. For three years Mr. Foster served as a State Representative from Nashua and, during that time, was named Chair of the Nashua Delegation. Currently, Mr. Foster is serving his first term as State Senator from District 13 which includes Nashua wards 4,5,6,8, & 9.
Tim Hogan
General Manager, Crowne Plaza Hotel
Mr. Hogan is the General Manager at Southern New Hampshire’s premiere hotel, the Crowne Plaza in Nashua, NH. Tim has been involved with the Chamber of Commerce in the past and has recently returned as a board member. He also is very active in Rotary West of Nashua, a member since 1988. Tim has a long track record of community service being involved in a number of boards and committees for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, the Salvation Army and the First Church of Nashua. Tim currently lives in Hudson with his wife, Sue, and their two sons, Brendon and Sean.
Bonnie Kurylo
HR Manager, Public Service of New Hampshire
Bonnie Kurylo is currently serving her second term on the Chamber Board. She is the Human Resources Manager for Public Service of New Hampshire where she educates employees on workplace issues. Kurylo was previously the Business Manager responsible for supervising customer operations in the south-central region of the state. Since joining PSNH in 1980, Kurylo has held various staff and management positions in customer service and community relations. She is active in the local community serving as a member of the PSNH’s VIP Easter Seal Team and she was the Co-Chairperson during the PSNH 1998 Easter Seals Campaign. She holds a B.S. in business
Raymond Noel
Principal, NorthEast Planning and Associates
Raymond Noel, RFC, CFS, CSA, MBA, BCM is a retirement & estate planning and investment management specialist for Northeast Planning Associates. Ray has been the loan executive for the United Way for over 10 years. He has been affiliated with the Camp Doucet Association for over 30 years fundraising and maintaining the property for the use of youth organizations of the Greater Nashua Area. Ray is currently on the Board of Directors for the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, the Program Committee, Annual Dinner Committee, and Small Business Expo Committee. Ray is Rivier College’s Annual Fund National Chair and has also been a volunteer for the Boy Scouts for over 30 years.
Carol-Lynn Saliba
Senior Vice President, Director of Retail Banking Citizens Bank
Carol-Lynn Saliba is Executive Vice President, Director of Retail Banking at Citizens Bank New Hampshire. In her position she is responsible for the branch network in New Hampshire and Vermont, including community business lending and consumer banking. Her team supports the branches in all aspects of sales, customer service and training. An active member of the community, Saliba is on the Board of the Nashua Chamber of Commerce. She was also the recipient of the 2004 New Hampshire “Small Business Financial Services Advocate of the Year” from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Saliba earned a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Maine, Orono. She resides in Bedford with her husband and daughter.
Bernard A. Streeter
Mayor, City of Nashua
Streeter is the 54th Mayor of Nashua and is a first term member of the Chamber Board. He is a former 15-term member of the New Hampshire Executive Council where he served as Chairman of the Governor's Advisory Commission on Intermodal Transportation and was the principal architects of the state's 10-Year Highway Plan. He also chaired New Hampshire Department of Transportation's Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality and Transportation Enhancement Committees.
His long list of previous service is too detailed to list in its entirety, but includes the Board of Directors of Marguerite's Place (serving women and children in crisis), and the National Health Planning Council, and the National Advisory Council of the U.S. Public Health Service. In 1998 Mr. Streeter received the President's Service Award from New Hampshire Community Technical College in Nashua for his public service and support of post-secondary vocational and technical education.
James Steiner
Senior Director, Oracle Corporation
Mr. Steiner is the Senior Director of Product Management in Oracle's Server Technologies Division New England Development Center. Oracle Corporation is the world's leading supplier of software for information management, and the world's second largest independent software company. He is responsible for Oracle's server products supporting the rich media and location-services technologies used for Internet, mobile, content management, and e-business applications. Mr. Steiner has 20 years of experience in the database industry and has introduced to the market products ranging from early versions of SQL and ODBC to Oracle10g multimedia and geospatial database products. Prior to entering the software industry, Mr. Steiner worked for Columbia Pictures and 20th Century Fox. He is a graduate of Brown University and lives in Hollis, New Hampshire with his wife and two daughters, ages 8 and 6.
Thomas Wilhelmsen, Jr.
President/CEO, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center
Mr. Wilhelmsen is President/CEO of Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua. On his watch, The Medical Center has become a major employer and resource for Greater Nashua and a statewide leader in providing benefits to the community. Southern New Hampshire Health System, its parent company, now comprises the largest provider network in southern New Hampshire and one of the most sophisticated community hospitals in the state. Mr. Wilhelmsen’s leadership experience has made his service invaluable in such positions as Chair of the Board of New Hampshire Hospital Association, a member of the Board of New Hampshire Community Technical College System and Community Council of Greater Nashua, and as a longtime Rotarian and Nashua Chamber member.
